KLIC Seminar on Research Prototyping and AI Coding

The session began with an introduction to research prototyping in Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), covering how prototyping has been used in HCI research. This was followed by presentations from four students from different labs, who shared their experiences using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, and OpenClaw.

Speakers discussed how these tools can support coding and rapid prototyping, demonstrating different workflows and sharing practical insights from their own projects. The session also encouraged discussion among participants with varying levels of programming experience.

The seminar was held in person at CMC 6058, with remote access available for participants who joined online. It was part of KLIC’s regular bi-weekly meetings, which provide a space for sharing research practices and exploring emerging tools in HCI.
